Checking In....

Hi there...

Had a few minutes before I head off to bed....thought I would say hi to everyone and let you know that I'm still here. :o) Hope everyone is doing well.

My craft room is all packed up and ready to go to Alabama, so no new crafts for me. I did find something to share while I was packing my craft room. I made this note center a couple of years ago and never shared it on my blog, so thought I would share it tonight. Believe it or not I still use it. :o) I was so proud of it when I made it because it was a bit complicated to make. It's not perfect. The base is made of chipboard & I covered it with Piggy Tales Red Riding Hood papers. I had so much fun making the D on the front...it is a chipboard letter that I colored & stamped, then rubbed it with Versamark & used about 6 layers of UTEE to give it an epoxy look. I will share the measurements later, it is all packed away now. It is about 12" long closed...if I remember correctly. Hope you like it. :o)

One other thing I did while packing. Shhh...I wasn't supposed to be playing. LOL! I made some of the cutest felt flowers with some felted wool (I have tons from my penny rug making days). I was debating whether to keep all the wool that I had felted & I wondered if I could use it to make flowers using my Sizzix dies & Cuttlebug. It worked beautifully, so I packed all the wool to take with me. I can't wait to use them on some projects.

That's all the news I have tonight. Only 6 more days before the movers come. YEAH!!

Thanks for stopping by.....hugs,
